Trent NG

DIRECTOR

Trent graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (2nd Class (Upper Division) Honours) from the National University of Singapore and a Master in Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, and is a practicing Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.

In his years of legal practice, Trent has established a broad-based practice in both civil and commercial dispute resolution, as well as corporate and advisory legal services. Trent’s ability to effectively lawyer and advocate in both litigious and corporate transactional legal settings has greatly benefited his clients where he is able to provide practical, commercial, and cost-effective solutions to their legal matters.

In his disputes practice, Trent represents both individuals and corporations across all the Courts of Singapore (Supreme Court, State Courts, and the Family Justice Courts) and arbitration institutions (Singapore International Arbitration Centre) in a diverse range of legal subject matters from corporate disputes to civil and personal litigation. Trent is an active legal insolvency practitioner often representing liquidators, distressed companies, and creditors in corporate restructuring and liquidation matters. While much of his litigation practice is commercial-based, Trent also represents individuals in their deeply personal matters such as criminal defence litigation, matrimonial and divorce proceedings, and estate matters.

In his corporate law practice, Trent is well-experienced in advising small & medium enterprises (SMEs), larger corporations, and business investors, on their corporate and commercial legal matters. He supports his clients’ businesses with their legal transactions such as company incorporation, shareholders’ fundraising and capitalisation, sale & purchase of business assets and shares, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate reorganisations; as well as their day-to-day and regular business needs such as advising on employment and business regulations, review of material trade & supply contracts and property leases, and drafting their legal contracts and agreements.

Outside of legal practice, Trent serves the community and sits on the board of directors of Care Corner Singapore (a social services charity) and the board of advisors of Participate in Design (P!D) (a non-profit community-centric design, planning and educational organisation). He is also active in his local church serving in the audit committee and various other ministry committees. Trent speaks English, French, and Mandarin Chinese. He also enjoys travelling the world, gastronomy, motorcycling, making music, and being abreast of current affairs, government and politics.
