His other experiences include prosecuting offences under the Penal Code, Misuse of Drugs Act, Workplace Safety and Health Act and the Building Control Act. His notable cases include assisting in a High Court trial involving the offence of Rape, and being involved in a team of prosecutors handling the prosecution of the various parties involved in the collapse of an under-construction PIE Viaduct in 2017.

Mark handles both civil and criminal litigation. His experience includes acting as lead counsel in High Court and State Courts cases, both at the trial and appellate stages. As Defence Counsel, Mark has successfully argued cases in every level of the Singapore criminal justice system. His experiences includes acting as lead counsel in a Magistrate’s Appeal where he succeeded in getting the appellant’s sentence for a sexual offence significantly reduced, while providing the court with the opportunity to clarify the sentencing framework for offences of sexual assault involving penetration. Mark also successfully argued the appeals in the Court of Appeal and High Court for offences of armed robbery and corruption respectively. In the realm of civil disputes, Mark has acted as lead counsel in a civil trial, where he successfully assisted the claimant in recovering monies owed to them for works done in a renovation project.

In recognition of his success in criminal cases, Mark was honoured as one of Singapore’s Top-Rated Criminal Defence Lawyer of 2025 by The Straits Times, further solidifying his reputation in the legal community.
